Jody W. Diaz
Jody W. Diaz, 51 of Jay, Maine lost his long, bitter battle with substance abuse on May 8th, 2020. We found him peacefully lying on his couch finally free of the dark addiction of alcohol and drugs. He will never be forgotten and we imagine we will still be telling stories of Jody’s long conversations and unwavering friendship for as long as we live.
Jody was a good son, faithful brother, loving uncle, and loyal friend. He was always willing to give to others until the end. If you ran into him downtown, he would always stop to talk and ask how you were doing. You might not remember everything he did but you will always remember the way he made you feel. He truly cared and was always sincere.
It was Jody’s nature to do all he could to help others. His absence leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. Even though he was not able to overcome his addiction, he kept believing he could. In his memory we hope others will experience recovery and reach their true potential. Jody’s life can be honored by memorial contributions in his name to “The Family Restored.” Thank you and God bless.
