Joe McCabe

Joe lost his long and courageous battle with addiction on September 15, 2017. He was a polite, kind and compassionate soul with a quick wit and sense of humor. He had a strong work ethic and was very dedicated to his family. Joe was the proud father of Aaliyah and was expecting his daughter Olivia in January. He loved spending time with Aaliyah and was the loving partner of Brittany, always helping out, taking her fishing, keeping her laughing, and making sure she never had to open the car door for herself!

Joe’s multiple sports related concussions prompted his taking prescription pain killers that ultimately lead to a 5 year battle with heroin addiction. Joe made repeated efforts at recovery and had recently treated some post concussion conditions that made his prior sustainable rehabilitation very difficult. He had found new hope, which makes his passing even more tragic.
