Ben Coffin

Having recovered from a hopeless place in 2014 through action in the 12 Steps, Ben has tried to help other towards the experience he has had in that work. After being asked to speak at a Family Restored meeting by a friend in 2019, Ben has found a passion for educating and supporting families facing alcoholism and addiction. Ben has been a facilitator at the Stoneham Chapter of the Family Restored Suppot meetings since 2020 and volunteers for Family Restored whever he can. 

In 2021, Ben co-founded 412 Inc., a Massachusetts based non-profit committed to making 12 Step Sober living options available for people trying to recover. 412 opened its’ first 12 Step Sober House in Medford, MA, later that year. 

Ben holds the Senior Peer Recovery Specialist position with Tufts Health Plan/ Point32 Health and has been working for years to help the organization integrate Peer Services and the vital support they bring to Recovery from alcoholism and addiction. Prior to his current role, Ben directed a Mental Health drop in center and has led multiple teams providing substance use and mental health support throughout the system.
