Men’s Scholarship Coordinator

Originally from Wrentham, Massachusetts Michael began to struggle with substance abuse in his late teens.  He first found recovery and a 12 step community in Burlington VT.  As many do, Mike found himself in need of a deeper experience.  In 2013 he moved to Portland where he immediately felt at home in both the city and the recovery community. 

His first involvement with the family restored was as a speaker at the family meeting.  In 2014, he was given the opportunity to become a facilitator for that meeting. Eventually, Mike took over as the scholarship coordinator and has been in this role ever since.

Mike has set down roots in Gorham, ME where he lives with his loving partner Marlene (also in long term recovery), their two beautiful children and Moose the dog. Mike works as a superintendent for a local commercial construction company. You can find Mike golfing, hunting, camping with his family and enjoying all that the Maine outdoors has to offer.  Mike is also an avid foodie and is always ready to visit a new food spot or trade favorite recipes.
